They can be seen during the day, but they are most active in the evening and at night.

Tarantulas are not poisonous to humans, though like all spiders they have venom that is effective on small arthropods for subduing their prey. While female tarantulas can live for up to 25 years, the average lifespan of the male is only seven or eight years. 

Toyon is a prominent component of the coastal sage scrub plant community, and is a part of drought-adapted chaparral and mixed oak woodland habitats. The small (1 mm) seeds are hard and vary in color from dark brown to black. If any leaves are present, they are minute and scale-like. Not a horse or horse apple or hoof print in sight. The sign at the SGRT junction marks it as the Santa Fe Equestrian Staging Area. El Dorado Park Bike Path - This 4-mile bikeway runs through the 450-acre scenic El Dorado Regional Park. Very different. a good bike route and there are a couple places that need some clean up. Also I am on the trail almost every day and have found a few electronic items I like to return. and cross the street to continue onto the trail or access the trails at the adjacent San Gabriel Spreading Grounds. However, beware that the section under the PCH about mile marker 1 is often underwater during high tides around both the full moon and new moon. The cinnamon teal (Anas cyanoptera) is a species of duck found in western North and South America. 11:15 am - 3pm Bike Ride. TB measured 2.45 miles from the NE corner of the dam to the trail switchback down the face and onward. The wild populations are considered vulnerable to extinction, but the species has also been domesticated and introduced into environments worldwide, and is often considered a very destructive invasive species, being included in the List of the world's 100 worst invasive species. I ride bike on this trail couple times a month. The upper Coyote Creek Trail above Cerritos Regional Park is a great ride: fresh, smooth blacktop and few users. It's a pavedtrail for biking and h. Very little markings, dirty, a little less safe - feeling (I'm a woman, riding alone.) It is a small dabbling duck, with bright reddish plumage on the male and duller brown plumage on the female. apiana is widely used by Native American groups on the Pacific coast of the U.S. Great day to ride, for sure. Rhus ovata is very drought-tolerant and prefers well-drained soil in a sunny location.The fruit and flowers are popular with birds and butterflies and the plant itself provides good habitat for birds.

Native Americans made a tea from the leaves as a stomach remedy. They have gates letting directly onto the horse trail. Compared with the eastern gray squirrel S. carolinensis or the eastern fox squirrel (which have been introduced into its native range), these squirrels are shy, and will generally run up a tree and give a hoarse chirping call when disturbed. Adenostoma fasciculatum (chamise or greasewood) is a flowering plant native to Oregon, Nevada, California, and northern Baja California.This shrub is one of the most widespread plants of the chaparral biome. The American coot (Fulica americana), also known as a mud hen, is a bird of the family Rallidae. Along the trail you can see natural springs, historic features and animal tracks. Very similar to the Los Angeles River Trail but much cleaner. Just parking by the trail.

Prunus ilicifolia is an evergreen shrub to tree, producing edible cherries, with shiny and spiny toothed leaves similar in appearance to those of holly. friendly nice guy but ladies be cautious. Though commonly mistaken to be ducks, American coots belong to a distinct order. Native to arctic and temperate regions of North America, it also occasionally migrates to northern Europe. It is much too narrow for two cyclists to safely go through at the same time while traveling in opposite directions. The BB&PP runs from Carruthers Park up the old Pacific Electric Red Car line to Lakewood Blvd. Appears to be very popular with the locals.

Ceanothus is a genus of about 50–60 species of shrubs or small trees in the family Rhamnaceae. It was a Saturday, so school was not in session, but there was also no sign of police or any other security measures.

One of three species in the genus Cathartes of the family Cathartidae, the turkey vulture ranges from southern Canada to the southernmost tip of South America.
