Community Rebuilding Together provides free home repair and modification services to low-income homeowners, including seniors unable to repair homes independently. Programming provides primarily Black and Brown youth in Richmond's underserved communities with skills, knowledge, and expertise to changes systems that have created economic, environmental, and racial inequities. Core Program Areas Education Civic Development Human Services Flagler Housing and Homelessness Services provides residents with the tools they need to regain long-term stability through a housing first approach. Beyond Boundaries - $20,000 The overall grant making criteria and application process are the same for each of these grants and are detailed below. Grant funds support implementation of the organization's strategic growth while meeting ongoing basic needs of schools, classrooms, teachers, and students. $50,000 to build the capacity to annually collect, refurbish, and donate 2,000 free bikes to children and families. Income-based home ownership, critical home repairs, and affordable rentals enable families to secure safe, healthy, affordable homes. Priority will be given to organizations led by and primarily serving BIPOC communities. Post secondary financial aid advising supports students in nine of the Richmond region's public high schools. $30,000 to the Simpson Street Free Press, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary by hiring six additional teen editors.
