The Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) Global Migration Summit is an annual international conference. The Canadian host for the Fourth Summit is once again Abedorc Productions Inc. (Dorc Radio and Dorc Tv), in Toronto Canada. Their Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yinka Farinde, successfully hosted the 3rd edition of the summit in Toronto in 2022. Originally scheduled for October 2-14, the Summit will now be held between November 27-30, 2023. The opening session of the hybrid summit is to be beamed from the Abedorc Productions Inc studio in Toronto on November 28 while the grand finale will take place at the Belmont Event Space, Etobicoke, Toronto, Canada on November 29.

TARGET AUDIENCE: 100 participants to include international participants and residents of Canada joined through in-person discussions, and the hybrid-event. Who should participate? Migration is increasingly one of the most important global issues faced by communities and nations today. Yet it remains unplanned, unpleasant, and unmanaged. Our Summit seeks to bring out real information and real opportunities associated with migration (of all types) and facilitate a solutions-oriented exchange on differing ideas, practices and capacities.

CLIMATE CHANGE: Climate Change, Human Mobility And Sustainable Investments
The theme is a precursor to analyzing the dynamism of migration and the global economic order with the intent toidentify feasible solutions to noticeable challenges, as well as mitigation measures and concrete actions that lead to less dangerous and better managed human movement, with the hope for better global climate adaptation and mitigation.
PRESENTATIONS FOCUS.
In line with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10.7 requiring extensive consultations and engagements with the stakeholders to facilitate orderly, safe, regular, and responsible migration, the conference shall accommodate presentations on climate change with strategies to mitigate the effects, administration of migrant with a review of the United Nations 2030 and 2050 alarm on climate change and steps to adapt to and mitigate the effects. The summit shall also dwells on the overviews of human mobility with special assessment of Canada immigration policies, opportunities, investment drives, labour migration, human trafficking, gender matters, regular and irregular migration, migrant health, decent work, and migration reportage dynamisms with focus on the need for the media to continue to take the lead in providing quality information on migration choices premised on safe,orderly and safe migration.
RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES AND PLACES TO VISIT:
The participants will enjoy a brief tourism excursions and evening events at leisure during their stay in Toronto and other places in Canada with visits to places like CN Tower,and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.

Founded in 2018, the Journalists International Forum For Migration- JIFORM with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria held its first Global Summit on migration in Abuja, capital of Nigeria between November 26 and 27, 2019 and had since become a global force in migration affairs.
The body was part of the top media team selected across the world by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and assembled in Tunisia between December 9 and 12, 2019 to develop an ethical charter for journalists covering migration. JIFORM, a Non Profit, Non-Governmental and professional body is now a rallying point and umbrella body for journalists covering migration with human face and passion with over 300 members across the continents.
Having successfully organized several capacity building workshops for journalists, it held her second Global Summit between October 15 and 16, 2020 combining both physical and virtual presentations at Pensioners FM, Ibadan Oyo State with over 140 participants across the globe.
Apart from, the JIFORM initiated the West African Migration Summit which debut in Lome, Togo between June 22-23, 2021, held its 3rd Global Migration summit in October Toronto in 2022 and went on to collaborate with the City University, Brooklyn to organized intercontinental summit in New York City in November 2022. ,
JIFORM has a history of collaborations with the IOM Nigeria, Ghana, and Gambia and various migration agencies both within and outside Africa. In 2022, the leadership of JIFORM under Dr Ajibola Abayomi published a book titled: Guide To Migration Reportage in 2021 containing series of migration reportage and step by step approach on coverage of Migration matters.
